Frosted and privacy window film

Privacy on meeting rooms, bathrooms, street-facing windows and shopfronts, without curtains, blinds or new glass. Frosted film blocks the line of sight and keeps the room bright.

About the range

A new finish for existing glass.

Frosted film is the most specified window film in commercial interiors for one reason: it solves the privacy problem a glass wall creates without giving up the light that the glass wall was chosen for. A frosted band at seated height on a meeting room, a full-pane frost on a bathroom window, a manifestation band on a corridor partition.

The 3M Fasara range covers the whole spectrum. Plain frost and matte films for an even, sandblasted look. Gradation films that fade from frosted to clear so a room feels private at the table and open above it. Haze and crystal textures for a finer, softer diffusion. Pre-cut gradation sheets sized for individual panes.

For a frosted finish with texture, the frosted reeded films from the Refraxion range sit here too. Decorative frosted films block line of sight, not heat. If glare or heat gain is the problem, say so and we will specify a solar film instead.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Why not just use frosted glass?

Frosted glass is a replacement, not a refurbishment. Film is a fraction of the cost, reversible, and you can change the pattern or branding later without touching the glazing.

Will it bubble or peel?

Not when installed correctly. Failure usually comes from shortcuts in preparation, leftover residue, or dust under the film. Our installers prep to commercial standard.

Can we put our logo on the glass?

Yes. We print film in single colour, full-colour, or graduated patterns. We work from supplied brand artwork, or point clients to a graphic designer.

Does film reduce heat?

Only solar-rated films do meaningful heat reduction. Decorative frosted or coloured films block line of sight, not heat. We spec the right product once we know the orientation and the problem being solved.

Is it reversible?

Yes. The film comes off cleanly with heat and a scraper. The glass is left as it was.

Can it go on the outside of the glass?

Some films are exterior-rated, most are interior-only. We confirm per job. External application changes the adhesive and UV requirements.
