Dichroic window film
Dichroic glass shifts between colours as you move past it and as the light behind it changes. Dichroic film does the same on the glass you already have.
A new finish for existing glass.
Dichroic glass is made by layering ultra-thin coatings that transmit some wavelengths and reflect others, so a pane reads as one colour straight on and another from the side, with a different cast again when the light is behind it. As glass it is a specialist product. As a 3M Fasara film it is a roll applied to existing glazing.
It is a feature material. One pane in a reception, a run of partition glass in a retail fit-out, a bar back. The two finishes in the range lean warm and cool. Both are transparent and both change the look of the room behind them as well as the glass itself, so see a sample in place before specifying a large area.
